National Volunteer Month

April is National Volunteer Month and it's a great time to get your children involved in doing something for the aid of others. Volunteering promotes responsibility, good moral values and opens your children up to a wide range of experiences. What's important is that your children give something of themselves with no expectation of something in return - and in return they'll get a really wonderful feeling.

If you're interested in joining up with an organized campaign, begin your search on Volunteermatch.org . Use the advanced search to find opportunities in your area that are open to children.

Christopher Campbell Scholarship Fund

Wee Bit Trendy is big on giving back to the community, supporting our community and we are big on those who give back to the community as well.

We'd like to tell you about Christopher Campbell. Christopher Paul Campbell was an active participant in the CYO, both academically and athletically, while attending Easton Catholic Elementary School and Notre Dame High School. In high school, Christopher was a member of the National Honor Society and St. Bernard's Youth Group. He volunteered at Miller Blood Center, worked at Jack Creek Steakhouse, and played on a CYO high school basketball team.

Christopher graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2003, and continued his studies at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia. Christopher loved life to the fullest and we honor his life-long love of learning.

In spite of his Cystic Fibrosis, Christopher celebrated life and the opportunities that education brings. Christopher would want other students to have th same opportunity. Chris' family and friends decided to honor his memory and created The Christopher Paul Campbell Memorial Scholarship Fund.

For more information regarding the Scholarship Fund, please visit the website at: http://www.cpcscholarshipfund.org/index.html

There is a fundraiser being held to benefit the scholarship fund.
For Love of Life Tournament
The ideas behind the Tournament are two-fold. One is to commemorate the life of Christopher Campbell through a sport he loved. We celebrate with a youth basketball tournament that provides a variety of participants with a fun and exciting opportunity to shine in the spotlight. The second opportunity is to raise funds to provide memorial scholarships in Christopher's name.

For more information on the tournament click here: http://www.cpcscholarshipfund.org/index.html

Be sure to check out the Facebook Group!

Please support!

Thanks in advance!
